Here is a list of our 2025 Summer STEM Camps
- In partnership with the Abbotsford International Airshow and UFV.
Pre-requisites: Students will require basic computer skills with a mouse and keyboard, starting programs, and how to save and open files in a folder. Our camps are for academically focused kids who want to challenge themselves. Participants must be able to self-regulate their behaviour and work well with others.

A. Introduction to Coding/Robotics Camp:
(includes Step 1 and Step 2 of our Jr. Makerspace Program)
- In partnership with the Abbotsford International Airshow and UFV
Description: In this introductory course, students will learn about the engineering field of Mechatronics. Students will learn how to program a robotic device to complete a number of challenges. Students participating in our program during the school year will continue with their STEP TWO learning plan. Students should bring nut-free snacks and water.

B. Building a HoverCraft Camp: Aerospace Engineering - Design, fabricate, test and repeat!
- In partnership with the Abbotsford International Airshow and UFV
Description: This camp is designed for students who have taken one of our programs before (Introduction to Aerospace Design camp or one of our other courses). During the camp, participants will construct a mechanical device from scratch. Participants will use a 3D printer and laser cutter to fabricate parts for their device. The camp is full of unique extras that will make for an amazing STEM learning opportunity. Students must bring a nut-free snack and water.

C. Introduction to Aerospace Camp: - Physics of Flight / Jr. Flight School
- In partnership with the Abbotsford International Airshow and UFV
Description: In this introductory STEM camp, students will learn all about the exciting science behind how airplanes fly. In addition to learning about the physics of flight, students will also create a number of paper airplanes and foamboard gliders to help demonstrate the science concepts. The camp is full of unique extras that will make for a fantastic STEM learning opportunity. Students must bring a nut-free snack and water. For participants who took the camp last year, we recommend that you sign up for one or more of our other STEM camps.

D. Introduction to Coding a Drone Camp: - Coding in Scratch, Python, JavaScript
- In partnership with the Abbotsford International Airshow and UFV
Description: In this introductory STEM camp, students will learn all about the exciting world behind programmable drones. The camp participants will learn how quadcopters fly and how to program their drones in a simulator. Once they have mastered basic movement, campers will be introduced to the coding languages of JavaScript and Python. Campers will complete a number of tasks and challenges throughout the week. Students must bring a nut-free snack and water.

E. Digital Design in Aerospace Camp: - Fabrication with 3D Printers and a Laser Cutter
- In partnership with the Abbotsford International Airshow and UFV
Description: This camp is designed for students who want to learn and develop their digital design skills using TinkerCAD, OnShape and InkScape. In this half-day hands-on STEM camp, students will learn all about digitally designing for the 3D printer and laser cutter. As students develop their design skills, they will have lots of opportunities to print and laser-cut their creations to take home. Students must bring a nut-free snack and water.
